Top 4 lunch break spots

WHERE TO SPEND YOUR LUNCH BREAK

Harbour Grounds is lucky to be surrounded by beautiful public spaces to spend your lunch break in. Getting out and about is great for your mental health, helps you to be more productive at work and it’s always good to get a break from the screen. So get some colleagues together for a walking group and enjoy some of these amazing spots:

1. Westhaven Path

Enjoy the charm of Auckland’s waterfront and stretch your legs along this scenic walkway. Join others for a walk or a run if your game – it’s up to you! It’s also a popular cycle pathway if you want to get on the bike – at the kiosk you’ll find a bike fix-it stand on hand if you want to do a quick tune-up. Cross under the Auckland Harbour Bridge for gorgeous harbour views along the Westhaven Promenade.

2. Viaduct Harbour – 2 minute walk

This is one of Auckland’s top spots and you just can’t beat it on a sunny day. Admire New Zealand’s finest luxury boats, with the picturesque Viaduct Harbour just a 10 minute walk away. Plus, with over 30 bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from, you are spoilt for choice. Take your smartphone along with you and scan QR codes to see videos about heritage features as you walk by them.

3. Silo Park – 8 minute walk

Your waterfront playground (situated between Jellicoe and Beaumont Streets) is only an 8 minute walk away. Silo Park was established in recognition of the area’s industrial heritage and offers incredible marina views. In the summer season, Silo Park puts on a host of markets, outdoor films, concerts, and exhibitions, adding some fun and culture to your lunch break.

4. Victoria Park – 3 minutes walk

We have this beautiful and iconic green space right on our door step. Stretch your legs and relax at Victoria Park – only a 3 minute walk away. Play a game of basketball, enjoy lunch at the picnic tables or follow the 900m Victoria Park Path around the perimeter of the park.
