Plastic Free July Workshops

Do something different over your lunch period with these FREE plastic free workshops.

Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – to help us have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. Get a group of colleagues together and join the movement with these hands-on workshops. Bookings essential – tickets are limited so be quick.

COOKING CREATIVELY WITH MOST WASTED FOODS

Location: KPMG, 18 Viaduct Harbour Avenue

Date/time:  Wednesday 27 July, 12:30pm-1:30pm

Come along to this enlightening Love Food Hate Waste Workshop. Learn how you can store your food better so that it stays well and lasts longer, get tips on how you can reduce your household waste, make a difference to our planet, and save money too. We’ll also be sharing some amazing recipes!

Light refreshments will be provided. Every attendee will receive a complimentary reusable fruit/vege shopping bag.

This initiative is brought to you by Harbour Grounds and proudly supported by the Eco Matters Environment Trust, Auckland Council and Love Food Hate Waste.

MAKE YOUR OWN BEESWAX WRAP

Location: Auckland Transport, 20 Viaduct Harbour Avenue

Date/time: Friday 29 July, 12:30pm-1:30pm

Replace plastic wrap with your very own handmade beeswax wrap and have some fun while you do it! You will get all the materials and guidance to make your own beeswax wrap to take home with you.

Light refreshments will be provided. Each attendee will receive a FREE jar of delicious Harbour Grounds honey produced by our rescue bees on top of Air New Zealand.

Auckland Transport have kindly offered to host this event. Signage will be in place to direct you to the workshop.

Please note: A mask is required to enter the Auckland Transport building.
