Kawakawa Demo & Tea Tasting

Celebrate Matariki with a free lunchtime session exploring the traditional healing properties of kawakawa.

Join us for a special lunchtime session in honour of Matariki — a time for reflection, renewal, and wellbeing. This interactive workshop, led by Kawakawa by Raiha Rongoa, will explore the traditional healing properties of kawakawa and its significance in te ao Māori.

Learn about the tikanga and customs around harvesting kawakawa, watch a live demonstration of kawakawa balm being made, and enjoy a tasting of soothing kawakawa and manuka honey tea — a perfect remedy for winter wellness.

Every participant will also receive a small complimentary kawakawa balm to take home. This is a guided, hands-on experience with space for kōrero, tastings, and quiet reflection as we mark the Māori New Year together.

Event limited to 50 participants, bookings essential.
