Discover the art of making Māori fried bread (parāoa parai). You’ll learn the process step by step, then enjoy fresh fried bread served with butter and golden syrup.
💚 Pounamu Necklace Braiding Workshop
Thursday 18 September – Microsoft House, Ground Floor
Experience the beauty and significance of pounamu. In this workshop you’ll learn traditional braiding and binding techniques and leave with your own taonga pounamu necklace.
🌸 Flax Flower Weaving Workshop
Tuesday 23 September – Bayleys House, Ground Floor
Get creative with harakeke (flax) and explore traditional weaving practices. Guided by a skilled facilitator, you’ll weave and dye your own colourful flax flower to take home.
